Skyliner and Minnie Mouse Ride Hailing

Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, unveiled the companies plans to add two new forms of transportation to Walt Disney World.

First is the long rumored return of the gondolas, dubbed "Skyliner's," as a means of connecting  Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts and other locations with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot.

These look EPIC and make me want to continue with Pop Century as my go-to for many years to come.

The next form of transportation is a Disneyfied ride hailing service, a la Lyft/Uber, that everyone outside of Disney seems to want to call Minnie Vans. You'll be able to call a customized Chevy Traverse decked out in the colors and patterns of our beloved Minnie Mouse to take you around the property for around $20. This is super tempting, especially at peak bus times.

The Minnie van service is now available at select resorts. No dates have been unveiled for the Skyliner's though construction has begun.
